The wonderful feel of a stainless steel sink

Stainless steel is the material most frequently used for sinks, and the most popular countertop for commercial kitchens. As one of the world's largest buyers of stainless steel for kitchens, we have perfected its evolution over decades to bring you unique quality.

Kindred stainless steel is unique

There’s stainless steel and then there’s stainless steel. The alloy used in Kindred sinks is the result of an evolution that began in 1930. Kindred stainless steel sinks are made from premium quality chrome nickel steel giving them stunning beauty while making them highly resistant to staining, rust and corrosion while providing maximum durability. The steel is composed of a high percentage of chromium for shine and adds to the rust resistance and corrosion protection.

And this means...

You can rely on your Kindred sink to be resistant to heat, rust, and impact, under daily use. And your Kindred sink will be easy to clean, with common household materials.

Choosing the ideal stainless steel gauge

Residential stainless steel sinks are typically manufactured in gauges between 18 and 30. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the material. A thicker material means the sink can be deeper, and it will also be quieter when in use.  Kindred stainless steel sinks range from value positioned 22 gauge models, to 20 gauge Kindred Steel Queen models, right up to to big, deep hand fabricated and undermount 18 gauge sinks.  And while the gauge affects the depth, it will also influence the price point and features of the sink, from included accessories and waste fittings, to bowl capacity, and finish.

Topmount Sinks

A topmount sink, which is installed from above the counter, can be installed on most countertop applications.  A topmount sink typically has a rear faucet ledge, with optional faucet hole drillings, making for an easy installation. With our patented EZ Torque installation system on many of our topmount models, and a few simple tools, your sink will be ready to use in no time at all.

Undermount Sinks

An undermount sink should only be installed in solid surface countertops.  These sinks are installed from below the counter and require professional installation.  Kindred undermount sinks are  the perfect solution to complete your kitchen.  Cleanup is a breeze- without a rim or ledge you simply sweep crumbs into the bowl!
